Wilberfoss Parish Newsletter

Wilberfoss Newsletter

Like many village communities Wilberfoss relies, and in fact thrives, on its volunteers, without volunteers there wouldn't be a monthly Newsletter!  The Editorial Team (and a dedicated group of voluntary deliverers)  aim to have the monthly Newsletter through every letterbox in the village by the beginning of each month.  Now funded through the Precept, the Newsletter hopes to offer an insight into Wilberfoss village life, what's current and what's coming up!  You'll find a diary of the activities that you can get involved in at the Community Centre, along with what's happening at The Pavilion.  You can learn about services held at St John the Baptist Church and, through the Parish Council's 'News in Brief', you'll get to know what's happening in the community.  Contributions from Wilberfoss in Bloom and the Allotment Association will offer you insights into their activities and you'll also have an opportunity to keep up with the successes of the village sporting teams.

Contributions are welcome from anyone who has something to say about life in Wilberfoss.  The deadline date for receipt of articles is the 20th of each month.   Anonymous contributions will not be published.   Follow the link to the Editorial Team.

Wilberfoss News - November 2024 Edition

Whilst you thumb through the Newsletter and ponder the goings on in Wilberfoss, why not think about joining those in the village who give their time for the benefit and pleasure of others.  Not only those who put together the Wilberfoss Word, but also those who:-

  • Maintain the playing fields, play areas and Sports Pavilion
  • Run the Allotments
  • Fill, water and maintain the planters and flower beds throughout the village
  • Oversee the running of the Community Centre
  • Run the voluntary groups that take place in and around Wilberfoss (such as the football clubs, the tennis club, etc)
  • Maintain the churchyard.

The more time and effort you are willing to put into Wilberfoss village life, the more you will be rewarded for your efforts!
